Temporale are Tapestries of Time. A digital-analog video-photo series by artist Sarah Zucker / [@thesarahshow](http://twitter.com/thesarahshow). 

Each Temporale is a fixed vantage point from which to see the fourth dimension. When you view a Temporale, you are witnessing Time’s flow interwoven with itself and captured in a still image.

These works begin as videos of luminous fabrics and materials rotating through space.

The seed videos are then subjected to a series of time displacements in an analog video ecosystem and then digitally slit-scanned, registering myriad timelines of the same moving object into a single still image.

The aim of this work is to evoke the non-linear experience of Time when moving between the physical and virtual worlds of the early 21st century.

Due to their fluid nature, Temporale may be displayed vertically, horizontally or cropped at the viewer’s preference – each viewpoint allows for new facets to emerge.

VideoPaintings are figurative visions channeled through a vintage 1991 Sony Video Painter – a device yearned for since childhood. Each piece is painstakingly crafted in a single sitting, as the device has no save function, infused with original digital animation and enhanced through analog video processing.

The resulting composition represents that which is able to be captured on VHS tape, never to be accessible for additions or edits again.

This style has been in constant evolution since 2015. The VideoPaintings contract was launched December 2022.

VideoFeelings are Op Art in the Fourth Dimension. These infinitely looping Visual Music compositions harmonize color, texture and rhythm into a palpable aesthetic mood.

Each work is an ethereal sculpture created with light on videotape. They vibrate with tactility and possess a unique dimensionality despite being entirely incorporeal.

Inspired by the myth of Jacob, this series of artworks tells a story at once personal and universal.

The greatest blessings are those gained through self-experience. Jackie is a clever girl. She grabs her own heel, and only ever chases herself. Seeing her brothers blessed through the simple virtue of their brotherhood, she straps on a beard and steps into the holy line. She knows that Favor not automatically conferred may be gotten through taking the shape of those due to receive it. 

For Jackie is called to greatness. But greatness is not static – it’s won only through constant struggle. And that is what Jackie wants for herself: the right to dance with her calling. The right to keep climbing. The right to wrestle with the divine. 

JACKIE REX is a triptych of limited edition VideoPaintings and a Video Alchemy Prelude by artist Sarah Zucker (@thesarahshow). The primary sale of the collection took place on Nifty Gateway on October 12, 2022.

The Cassandra Complex is a series of artworks inspired by the Greek myth of Cassandra, who was given the gift of prophecy but also the curse to never be believed.

The series illustrates society’s fear of the future through humor, mischief, and slippery historical reference.

While drawing a parallel between artists and oracles, both channeling visions of the future, the work suggests that everyone might be the oracle, the powerful and the by-stander.
